Overview

The Blackmagic Design MultiView 4 HD is a compact four-channel multiviewer that lets you simultaneously monitor four independent SDI sources on a single display. Each input can operate with a different SD or HD format and frame rate, making it suitable for mixed-format production environments.

Each view can include custom labels and audio meter overlays. The unit provides both SDI and HDMI multiview outputs, allowing it to connect to professional SDI monitors, projectors and standard HDMI televisions or displays.

Performance

MultiView 4 HD provides four 10-bit SD-SDI/HD-SDI inputs and operates at 270Mb, 1.5G and 3G SDI rates. It automatically detects SD or HD independently on each input. Its multiview outputs consist of one 10-bit HD-SDI output and one HDMI Type A output.

Supported input standards include 525i59.94 and 625i50 SD, 720p up to 60p, 1080i up to 60i, 1080p up to 60p and 2K DCI up to 25p. SDI video uses 10-bit 4:2:2 YUV sampling, while embedded SDI audio operates at 48 kHz/24-bit.

Applications

MultiView 4 HD is suited to broadcast studios, production control rooms, live events, AV installations and other environments where four SD or HD SDI feeds need to be viewed simultaneously without using four separate monitors.

The unit is configured through USB 2.0 and includes Blackmagic MultiView software for compatible Mac and Windows systems. Settings are retained and restored after a power failure.
