Overview

The Blackmagic Design StudioBridge 10G PWR is a professional 2RU SMPTE ST 2110 infrastructure device designed to simplify the connection and powering of IP video equipment in broadcast studios and production facilities. It combines high-speed network connectivity with integrated PoE power distribution, reducing the amount of separate networking and power equipment required in an installation.

It provides eight powered 10G Ethernet connections, with each connection capable of delivering up to 90 W of PoE power to compatible equipment. This makes it particularly useful for centralized installation of Blackmagic SMPTE 2110 cameras, converters and other supported IP devices.

Performance

StudioBridge 10G PWR is designed for HD and Ultra HD SMPTE 2110 workflows. It supports Blackmagic IP10 for transporting higher-bandwidth Ultra HD signals, including 2160p59.94 and 2160p60, over 10G Ethernet infrastructure.

Its IP standards support includes SMPTE ST 2110-20 uncompressed video, ST 2110-21 traffic shaping, ST 2110-30 PCM digital audio and ST 2110-40 ancillary data. Precision synchronization is provided through IEEE 1588-2008 PTP v2 with SMPTE ST 2059-1 and ST 2059-2 support.

Applications

The StudioBridge 10G PWR is intended for broadcast studios, control rooms, live production facilities and other professional SMPTE 2110 installations where multiple IP devices need centralized network connectivity and power.

NMOS IS-04 discovery and registration and IS-05 connection management provide standards-based integration with compatible SMPTE 2110 systems. The unit also incorporates front-panel controls and a 2.2-inch color LCD for configuration and operational monitoring.

Dual internal 100 to 240V AC power supplies provide redundant mains power capability, an important consideration when the unit is being used as centralized infrastructure for multiple connected devices.
