Overview

The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Quad SDI to 12G-SDI converts Quad Link SDI into 12G-SDI, allowing existing Quad Link Ultra HD equipment to connect to newer 12G-SDI routers, switchers, projectors and other professional video equipment using a single SDI cable.

The converter provides four SDI video inputs and two 12G-SDI outputs. This makes it particularly useful when migrating existing Quad Link production equipment into newer single-link 12G-SDI infrastructure.

Performance

The converter automatically switches between SD, HD, 2K and 4K formats. Supported standards extend from 525i59.94 and 625i50 through HD and 2K formats to Ultra HD 2160p60 and DCI 4K up to 25p.

It supports both Level A and Level B 3G-SDI equipment, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video sampling, YUV and RGB color spaces, 16 channels of embedded audio and built-in SDI reclocking.

Applications

Teranex Mini Quad SDI to 12G-SDI is designed for broadcast, live production, post-production and professional AV installations where legacy Quad Link SDI equipment needs to operate with newer 12G-SDI infrastructure.

By combining four SDI links into a single 12G-SDI connection, it simplifies cabling when connecting Quad Link Ultra HD sources to modern routers, switchers, projectors and other 12G-SDI equipment.
