Overview

The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI Distribution 12G is a professional 12G-SDI distribution converter designed to send a single SDI source simultaneously to up to eight SDI destinations. It provides one 12G-SDI input and eight 12G-SDI outputs, making it suitable for distributing a common signal to monitors, switchers, encoders and other broadcast equipment.

All eight outputs automatically match the incoming SD, HD, 2K or 4K SDI format. Full SDI reclocking is built in to maintain signal integrity across the distributed outputs.

Performance

Multi-rate 12G-SDI operation supports standard definition, 3G-SDI Level A and B, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI. Supported formats range from SD through HD and 2K DCI to Ultra HD 2160p60 and 4K DCI up to 25p.

The converter supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 SDI video sampling, YUV and RGB color spaces, and 16 channels of embedded audio at 48 kHz/24-bit.

Applications

Teranex Mini SDI Distribution 12G is designed for studios, control rooms, OB systems, live production and professional AV installations requiring one SDI feed to reach several devices simultaneously.

Configuration and software upgrades are available through USB and Ethernet. The standard front panel provides mini switches, while the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel adds a 2.2-inch LCD, rotary knob and six settings buttons.
