Overview
The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to Analog 12G converts professional 12G-SDI video to analog video for integration with legacy analog equipment. It supports SD, HD, 2K and Ultra HD SDI sources and provides composite, Y/C or component analog video outputs.
A built-in down converter allows Ultra HD sources to be used with component video equipment operating in SD or HD, making the converter useful for integrating modern SDI infrastructure with Betacam SP decks, VHS equipment, legacy monitors and other analog systems.
Performance
The converter provides one auto-switching 12G-SDI input and one 12G-SDI loop output with built-in reclocking. Multi-rate operation automatically switches between SD, HD, 2K and 4K sources and supports SDI rates through 12G-SDI.
Video support includes SD 525i59.94 and 625i50, HD formats through 1080p60, 2K DCI, Ultra HD through 2160p60 and 4K DCI through 25p. Analog output supports composite, Y/C and component video with Rec. 601 and Rec. 709 color spaces.
Applications
The Teranex Mini SDI to Analog 12G is designed for broadcast, post-production, archival and professional AV environments where modern SDI equipment must interface with analog video hardware.
Professional audio de-embedding provides two channels of balanced analog audio or four channels of balanced 110Ω AES/EBU digital audio through XLR connections. The right XLR can alternatively be configured for timecode output.
