Overview

The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K HDR is an advanced monitoring converter for transforming professional SDI sources into HDMI across HD, Ultra HD, 4K and 8K formats up to 4320p60. It provides four 12G-SDI inputs and four HDMI 2.0 outputs, with dual-link and quad-link 12G-SDI support used for 8K workflows.

The converter also integrates professional monitoring tools including HDR support, 33-point 10-bit RGB LUTs, monitor calibration and built-in waveform, parade, vector and histogram scopes.

Performance

Four 12G-SDI inputs automatically switch between HD, 2K, 4K and 8K formats, while four 12G-SDI loop outputs allow the incoming signals to continue through the system. Four HDMI 2.0 Type A outputs support HD, Ultra HD and 4K in single-link operation, or 8K up to 4320p60 using Quad Link HDMI.

The unit supports 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G-SDI, including 2SI dual-link, 2SI quad-link and Square Division quad-link 12G-SDI. Supported formats extend through Ultra HD 2160p60, 4K DCI 60p, 8K 4320p60 and 8K DCI 60p.

Applications

Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K HDR is designed for high-end broadcast, post-production, grading, mastering and 8K monitoring workflows. Its built-in scopes allow operators to inspect waveform, RGB/YUV parade, vectorscope and histogram data directly from the converter.

HDMI output supports Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces. Loadable 33-point LUTs can be used for display calibration, while two-channel RCA analog audio output provides local monitoring.
