The Blackmagic Design Ultimatte 12 4K is an advanced real-time compositing processor designed for professional chroma keying, next-generation broadcast graphics and virtual sets. Its high-performance 12G-SDI architecture supports both HD and Ultra HD production with sub-pixel processing for detailed, photorealistic composites.

Performance

Ultimatte 12 4K incorporates advanced algorithms and color science for precise edge handling, color separation, color fidelity and spill suppression. Its processing is designed to retain challenging details such as fine hair, shadows, transparent objects and reflections when compositing talent over virtual environments.

The processor supports SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 through 12G-SDI. Blackmagic's current specification provides 8 SDI video inputs, 9 SDI video outputs and 7 reclocked SDI loop outputs. It also includes a 10Gb Ethernet interface with one SMPTE ST 2110 video input and one output.
