Overview

The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio 4K Mini is a professional Thunderbolt 3 capture and playback solution for broadcast, post-production and live production workflows. It combines 12G-SDI, HDMI and analog connectivity with a built-in LCD preview display and SD card reader in a compact desktop design.

Performance

UltraStudio 4K Mini provides one 12G-SDI input, two 12G-SDI program outputs and one SDI loop output, together with HDMI 2.0 input and output. Multi-rate SDI supports 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G, allowing operation across SD, HD, Ultra HD and 4K production formats.

It supports broadcast-quality 8-bit and 10-bit HDR capture and playback in formats up to 4K DCI 60p, as well as 12-bit HDR capture and playback up to 4K DCI 30p. Analog component and composite video inputs provide additional compatibility with legacy equipment.

Applications

UltraStudio 4K Mini is suitable for professional video editing, color grading, broadcast ingest, live production, streaming and graphics workflows. The built-in SD/UHS-II card reader allows camera media to be mounted directly on the connected computer, while the front 3-inch LCD provides convenient video and status monitoring.
