Overview

The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G is a compact professional playback device for Thunderbolt computers. It provides broadcast-quality SDI and HDMI video output from editing, color grading and broadcast graphics applications, allowing computers to connect directly to professional monitors, projectors, switchers and other production equipment.

Performance

UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G features two multi-rate 12G-SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output. The SDI connections support 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G rates, providing compatibility with SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K workflows, including Ultra HD up to 2160p60.

Its two SDI connections can operate as dedicated 10-bit fill and key outputs for broadcast graphics applications. The device supports 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and 8 channels of embedded HDMI audio, providing professional multichannel audio alongside video playback.

Applications

UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G is designed for professional video editing, color grading, broadcast graphics, post-production and external video monitoring. It works with applications including DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer and a wide range of broadcast graphics and playback software.
