Overview

The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G is a compact professional capture and playback solution designed specifically for broadcast graphics, AI image processing and live-action replay. A single Thunderbolt 4 connection provides computer connectivity, while multi-rate 12G-SDI enables professional SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K workflows.

Performance

UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G provides one 12G-SDI video input together with dedicated fill, key and monitoring outputs. Its multi-rate SDI architecture supports 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G, with Ultra HD formats extending to 2160p60 and 4K DCI formats up to 60p.

The device supports 8, 10 and 12-bit processing, including RGB 4:4:4 up to 2160p30 and YUV 4:2:2 across supported standards. HDR workflows are supported through static metadata packing plus HLG and PQ transfer characteristics.

Applications

UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G is particularly suited to live sports replay, broadcast graphics, production switching and AI video-processing systems. The dedicated fill and key outputs allow graphics to be keyed through a production switcher, while the separate monitor output provides independent operator monitoring.
