Professional 12G-SDI Video Routing

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 8x4 12G is a compact zero-latency video router designed for broadcast studios, live production, post-production and professional AV systems. It provides 8 × 12G-SDI inputs and 4 × 12G-SDI outputs, allowing multiple video sources and destinations to be routed from a compact system.

SD, HD and Ultra HD Support

The router supports 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G-SDI and automatically detects the video standard independently on each input. Supported formats extend from SD through HD and 2K to Ultra HD 2160p60 and DCI 4K 60p, making it suitable for mixed-format production environments.

Clean Switching and Signal Synchronization

All 8 SDI inputs include video re-synchronization for clean switching, while the SDI outputs include reclocking for reliable signal distribution. Tri-Sync and Black Burst reference support enables the router to integrate into synchronized broadcast workflows.

Professional Video and Audio Handling

SDI video supports YUV 4:2:2 and RGB 4:4:4 sampling with Rec. 601, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces. Embedded SDI audio operates at 48 kHz/24-bit, providing professional audio transport alongside routed video signals.

Flexible Control and Connectivity

Front-panel routing controls provide direct access to signal routing, while an emergency 12G-SDI connection makes it easy to patch external equipment when required. A USB-C webcam output enables routed video to connect directly to a computer, and Gigabit Ethernet provides external control using compatible Blackmagic Videohub software and hardware control panels.
