Overview

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G is a miniature broadcast-quality converter designed to connect HDMI cameras, computers and other HDMI sources to professional SDI equipment. It features one full-size HDMI 2.0 Type-A input and two 12G-SDI outputs, with both SDI outputs automatically matching the incoming HDMI signal.

The converter automatically detects SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K formats and supports SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G. Power, configuration and firmware updates are handled through USB Type-C.

Performance

Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G supports SD and HD formats through 1080p60, Ultra HD through 2160p60 and 4K DCI through 4Kp60. Its two 12G-SDI outputs are reclocked for reliable professional signal distribution.

For 3G-SDI operation, Level A or Level B output can be selected by the user. Video processing uses 4:2:2 YUV, while the converter also supports a 33-point LUT that can be loaded through Blackmagic's software utility. Maximum power consumption is 4 W.

The Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G is ideal for integrating HDMI cameras, computers and other HDMI equipment into professional SDI production infrastructure. Its dual SDI outputs make it particularly useful when the converted signal needs to feed two SDI destinations simultaneously.
