Unified Multi-Channel Routing for Mobile 4K and Quad-Link Infrastructure
The Canare 4K-DIN Coaxial Connector family delivers a highly reliable, high-density connection interface for mobile broadcast systems, flypacks, and tight studio routing hubs. In standard production environments, routing 4K UHD video over Quad-Link 3G-SDI infrastructure requires managing four distinct coaxial lines, multiplying termination errors and setup times. The 4K-DIN platform combines four separate 75-ohm channels into a single, compact multi-pin frame, enabling multi-signal connection workflows with a simple plug-and-lock operation.
Broadcast-Grade Return Loss and Signal Performance
Despite its consolidated multi-channel layout, the 4K-DIN connector series delivers uncompromised electrical isolation and high bandwidth capacity. Maintaining a return loss of 20 dB or better up to 3 GHz, it guarantees clean data transmission pathways with minimal jitter for SMPTE ST 424 standards. The precision-machined inner contact pins keep impedance matched perfectly throughout the line, preventing the signal attenuation and phase deviations that can degrade high-frame-rate digital broadcast links.
Comprehensive Setup Layouts and Flexible Field Architecture
The 4K-DIN group provides complete flexibility across field cable arrays and master rack builds. The MDM-V4C25HW (Male Plug) and MDF-V4C25HW (Female Inline Jack) are designed to crimp flawlessly onto Canare's specialized V4-2.5CHW multi-core coaxial cables using standard Canare die sets. For master rack panels, wall boxes, or internal switch bays, the MDF-V4JRU Flush-Mount Receptacle acts as a versatile bulkhead pass-through. This receptacle can link directly to a 4K-DIN patch cable or break out into four separate standard DIN 1.0/2.3 patch lines, giving engineering crews complete routing versatility.
