High-Fidelity Signal Infrastructure for Digital Broadcast Suites
The Canare L-CFB Low-Loss Coaxial Cable series represents an industry-leading structural solution, operating as a specialized 75-ohm video transmission line engineered to link master control rooms, digital editing environments, outside broadcast (OB) van arrays, and permanent studio infrastructure. Traditional analog cables or poorly shielded multi-strand wires often experience high attenuation and signal loss when handling high-frequency serial digital data streams. Canare’s solid-core copper design resolves these data transmission limitations, providing an ultra-stable, bit-accurate path for high-definition digital signals.
Two-Stage Electrostatic Defense Layout
To maintain uncompromised signal tracking when routed through tight building gaps right next to high-current power grids, large studio lighting rigs, or heavy radio networks, this low-loss series uses an advanced dual-shielding architecture. The primary foamed dielectric core is wrapped in a solid layer of aluminum foil tape to block high-frequency radio interference (RFI). Surrounding that foil is a dense tinned copper braided shield that provides up to 95% coverage, draining away low-frequency magnetic hum and protecting your digital video streams from data corruption.
Crucial Installation Note: Canare L-CFB cables are designed specifically for permanent, fixed installations. To prevent structural variations that can degrade your digital signal, please avoid subjecting the cable to repeated bending, sharp crimping, or external rolling pressure.
Tailored Core Gauges for Facility Racks and Backbone Trunks
This high-definition digital cable family is available in five scaled formats to provide the right attenuation balance across any facility run length:
- L-2.5CFB Mini-Patch Variant (25 AWG Core / 4.0mm O.D.): A space-saving option built for short patch panel connections, internal rack chassis loops, and compact hardware interconnects.
- L-3CFB / L-4CFB Studio Patch Class (22-20 AWG Core / 5.5mm - 6.1mm O.D.): The workhorse choice for medium-distance equipment connections, offering an excellent balance of flexibility and low loss ($23.6\text{ dB}$ to $29.1\text{ dB/100m}$ at 750MHz).
- L-5CFB Main Infrastructure Master (18 AWG Core / 7.7mm O.D.): The standard selection for long-haul facility runs, dropping high-frequency attenuation to a low $17.7\text{ dB/100m}$ at 750MHz.
- L-7CFB Heavy-Duty Backbone Trunk (15 AWG Core / 10.2mm O.D.): A massive, thick solid-core line designed to minimize loop resistance ($1.0\text{ }\Omega\text{/100m}$). This model is the top choice for extra-long backbone paths through stadiums, arenas, and large commercial facilities ($13.4\text{ dB/100m}$ at 750MHz).
