The Canare L-CFTX 75-Ohm Triaxial Cable series provides an advanced engineering solution for remote setups, functioning as a specialized video cable designed to merge high-definition video, intercom feeds, tally signals, and raw DC operating power into a single line. In professional studio complexes and outside broadcast (OB) vans, managing separate power, control, and coaxial video lines can complicate your setup. Canare’s triaxial design simplifies this workflow by consolidating your entire infrastructure into a highly reliable copper line.
Concentric Layering for Reliable Interference Shielding
Unlike standard coaxial cables that only have a single center conductor and shield, the L-CFTX series features a unique three-conductor concentric layout. The solid copper center conductor carries the high-frequency video feed, protected by a low-loss foamed polyethylene insulation barrier. The first braided shield serves as the video signal return path. Surrounding that is a second solid polyethylene layer and a final tinned copper braided outer shield, which safely handles high-voltage DC power delivery and telemetry grounding while acting as a barrier against external radio frequency interference (RFI).

To deliver reliable signal tracking across varying distances on set or in the field, this master product family is split into three specific options:
- L-4CFTX Compact Mobility Class (20 AWG Core): Featuring a 9.1mm outer profile, this highly flexible model is built for agile handheld camera operators and tight studio setups where low weight is key.
- L-5CFTX Balanced Studio Class (19 AWG Core): An 8.8mm industry-standard utility model that balances a low attenuation rate ($2.2\text{ dB/100m}$ at 10 MHz) with excellent flexibility for everyday production needs.
