Ultimate Weight and Space Optimization for Mobile Broadcast Vans
The Canare MC Series 75-Ohm Micro Video Patchbay delivers an exceptionally thin and lightweight routing solution for space-constrained production facilities. Engineering heavy-duty signal arrays for Outside Broadcast (OB) vans, mobile production trucks, and modular flight cases requires tight control over physical rack weight and dimensions. By reducing the weight of its internal video jacks to just 35 grams—half that of a standard patch jack—the MC series lowers the overall structural load on your equipment racks while maximizing available port space.
True 75-Ohm Impedance Performance with Clean Signal Isolation
Built for reliable HD distribution, the MC series handles 3G-SDI video feeds cleanly across its dense matrix. It maintains a consistent 75-ohm impedance profile that achieves a return loss of 20 dB or better at 3 GHz through both normal-through and patch-through configurations. Cross-channel isolation is kept at 45 dB or greater at 3 GHz, suppressing crosstalk and eliminating digital jitter to protect the integrity of your uncompressed video signals.
Field Maintenance Features and Precision Port Assignment
To streamline quick adjustments during live broadcasts, the rear panel utilizes a miniature DIN 1.0/2.3 connection grid. This configuration pairs perfectly with Canare's specialized BET-DIN extraction tool, allowing engineers to connect or detach lines in tight rows without disrupting neighboring cables. Every patchbay ships with a dedicated grid-matched channel designator sheet to ensure accurate line mapping and fast troubleshooting under tight deadlines.
