Flexible Mid-Size Signal Distribution for Enterprise Racks
The Canare MD Series 75-Ohm Mid-Size Video Patchbay delivers an exceptionally stable, space-efficient solution for dense HD video infrastructures. Engineered specifically around mid-size physical parameters, this series allows systems engineers to customize their footprint based on facility demands. Whether scaling a tight 32-channel mobile rack or assembling a high-capacity 96-channel master routing field across a 4 RU hub, the MD series provides exceptional durability for live television environments and production facilities.
Proprietary Dual-Contact Rotary Switch Technology
A common point of failure in older video patch systems is contact fatigue or dust accumulation within the normal-through signal paths. Canare solves this by integrating specialized Rotary Switch Technology featuring a precision dual-contact construction layout. When no patch cable is inserted, the internal path remains firmly locked to preserve the loop. The mechanical rotary movement cleans the contacts slightly with every insertion, protecting against signal dropouts and maintaining clean transmission.
Industrial-Grade Build with Clear Signal Mapping
To handle the stress of daily patching cycles, the MD series balances a light physical build with a rugged design. Its aluminum alloy video jacks minimize total panel weight without sacrificing mechanical strength. For easy upkeep, the rear panel includes an offset, staggered BNC layout that provides extra finger room when using extraction tools.
