The Canare SVP Series 75-Ohm 12G-SDI U-Link Looping Plugs and Termination Plugs are critical workflow accessories for the high-density 32SVK-ST patchbay series. In advanced single-jack video infrastructures based on the classic British MUSA footprint, normal-through signal pathways are managed using front-panel accessories rather than internal physical switches. This design gives broadcast engineers complete control over signal routing, allowing them to bridge channels or isolate specific distribution paths on the fly.
Secure Looping and Precision Noise Suppression
The product group consists of two specialized accessories. The SVP-ULK Looping Plug (U-Link) provides a quick, secure connection that bridges adjacent single jacks to restore or redirect the signal path. For open, unused patch bay nodes, the SVP-TK Termination Plug inserts a precise 75-ohm load directly into the line. This termination absorbs lingering RF energy, preventing high-frequency signal reflections from traveling backward through your matrix and degrading active broadcast video feeds.

Both components are built to handle the high frequencies of single-link 12G data streams. The SVP-ULK looping plug delivers an exceptional return loss of $\ge$ 20 dB up to 3 GHz and preserves a clean $\ge$ 10 dB at 12 GHz. For advanced isolation tasks, the SVP-TK terminator improves performance further, achieving an outstanding return loss of $\ge$ 25 dB up to 3 GHz and $\ge$ 20 dB at 6 GHz.
