Features & Specifications
Product Overview +
The Datavideo CG-Pro is a powerhouse character generation system built for the demands of modern 4K live production. Whether you are running a high-end newsroom, a sports broadcast, or a corporate live stream, CG-Pro provides the tools to create polished, broadcast-quality visuals with zero downtime. Its "mixer-style" interface provides a familiar PVW/PGM (Preview/Program) workflow, ensuring operators can stage graphics perfectly before pushing them to air.
Newsroom & Automation Excellence
CG-Pro is built for the "always-on" environment. With native MOS integration, it talks directly to Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS), allowing journalists to populate templates that the CG operator can then trigger. For specialized control, it supports REST API, GPI, and RS-232, and comes with pre-configured layouts for the Elgato Stream Deck, making complex graphic triggers as simple as a single button press.
Dynamic Data Integration
In fast-moving productions like elections or sports, manual data entry is too slow. CG-Pro excels at Data-Driven Graphics, automatically pulling information from live Excel sheets or RSS feeds. When the source data changes, the on-air graphic updates instantly. This automation ensures that your tickers, clocks, and scoreboards are always accurate to the second.
Flexible Media & Codec Support
The system is designed to handle nearly any media format you throw at it. From professional ProRes and DNxHD codecs to web-friendly H.265 and AV1, CG-Pro ensures smooth playback with automatic up/down-scaling. It also supports complex image sequences (TGA/PNG) and animated GIFs, allowing for high-end motion graphics without taxing the system's stability.
