Product Overview +
Bridge the Gap Between Broadcast and IT
The Datavideo DAC-60 is a versatile problem-solver designed to convert professional SD, HD, and 3G-SDI video signals into VGA formats. This allows high-end broadcast equipment to interface seamlessly with common computer peripherals like projectors and older monitors. Whether you are in a boardroom, a classroom, or a live event space, the DAC-60 ensures that your SDI source looks sharp and properly scaled on any VGA-based display.
Professional Image Control
Unlike basic adapters, the DAC-60 features a built-in "Proc Amp" (Processing Amplifier). Using the provided software, you can calibrate the VGA output’s contrast, hue, and saturation to match your specific display requirements. These settings are saved directly to the hardware, meaning you can configure the unit once and deploy it in the field without needing a computer connection. Crucially, these adjustments only affect the VGA port, leaving the SDI loop-through signal completely untouched.
Flexible Scaling and Monitoring
With a simple press of the mode selection button, you can cycle through eight different VGA resolution presets. This manual control, combined with the six-LED status array, ensures you always have the correct aspect ratio and resolution for your target monitor. The inclusion of a 3G-SDI loop-through port makes this unit an excellent choice for monitoring stations, as it allows you to view a VGA preview while passing the pristine SDI signal to your main production switcher.
Rugged, Reliable, and Ready for Travel
Engineered for the demands of the road, the DAC-60 is both lightweight and incredibly durable. It operates efficiently on 12V power, making it compatible with standard broadcast power systems. Its small footprint and "set-and-forget" reliability make it an essential tool for AV technicians who need a dependable way to bridge disparate video standards without sacrificing signal quality or color accuracy.
