Product Overview +
Professional 4K Recording in a Rackmount Form Factor
The Datavideo HDR-90 is the rack-ready counterpart to the HDR-80, designed specifically for broadcast trucks, control rooms, and server racks. Occupying just 1RU of space, it delivers uncompromised UHD 4K recording in industry-standard Apple ProRes 422 MOV formats. Its standout feature is the integrated 5" flip-up touchscreen, which allows operators to configure settings and monitor live feeds without needing an external display, making it the perfect solution for space-constrained environments.
Multi-Cam ISO and Quad-Split Workflow
Efficiency is at the core of the HDR-90. With one 12G-SDI input and three additional 3G-SDI inputs, this unit can function as a powerful multi-camera recorder, capturing four simultaneous 1080p ISO feeds. The quad-split display mode provides a comprehensive overview of all incoming signals on a single screen. Whether you are backing up a live switch or recording raw feeds for post-production, the HDR-90 ensures every angle is captured with 24-bit uncompressed PCM audio.
Seamless Studio Integration
The HDR-90 is engineered to be the "brain" of your recording rack. It features a robust array of outputs, including one 12G-SDI and four HDMI ports (one 2.0, three 1.4), allowing for complex monitoring setups. To ensure frame-accurate synchronization across your entire facility, the unit supports Genlock (Black Burst and Tri-Level Sync) and dedicated Timecode I/O. For high-end broadcast applications, it also provides full support for closed captioning.
Reliable Media and Remote Versatility
Built for mission-critical reliability, the HDR-90 records to 2.5" SSDs formatted in exFAT for easy cross-platform compatibility. Its dual-drive architecture allows for long-form event recording without interruption. Beyond physical operation, the HDR-90 excels in automated environments, offering full remote control via DVIP over LAN or traditional RS-232/422 serial communication. This versatility makes it a staple for large-scale venues, corporate broadcast centers, and professional production houses.
