Product Overview +
The Datavideo PCB-1 is a critical interface solution for broadcasters and pro-video users who want to utilize Panasonic handheld or shoulder-mount camcorders in an automated PTZ environment. While the PTR-10 MARK II handles the physical movement of the camera, the PCB-1 acts as the "translator" that allows the robotic head to talk to the camera's internal lens motors. This ensures that you have full control over your frame's zoom and exposure from a remote control room.
Specialized for Panasonic Workflows
Panasonic camcorders are renowned for their "dual-hole" remote system (one port for Zoom, one for Focus/Iris). The PCB-1 is wired specifically to match this architecture. By plugging the PCB-1 into the PTR's 8-pin mini-DIN port, it breaks out the signal into a 2.5mm Zoom jack and a 3.5mm Focus/Iris jack, providing a seamless electronic connection that bypasses the need for external mechanical lens motors in many cases.
Streamlined Setup and Integration
Efficiency is at the heart of the PCB-1's design. Because it is powered via micro-USB from the PTR device, it becomes a permanent, low-profile part of the camera rig. It works in perfect harmony with Datavideo’s hardware controllers; when you move the zoom rocker on an RMC-300A, the PCB-1 ensures the Panasonic lens responds instantly and smoothly, matching the high-performance standards of professional broadcast.
Versatile Control Options
Whether you are using a professional serial controller like the RMC-180 MARK II or the convenience of an IR remote, the PCB-1 ensures your camera settings are always within reach. It is the ideal tool for converting existing Panasonic AG-CX series or older AC-series camcorders into high-functioning, remotely operated studio cameras.
