By converting fragile electrical serial lines to 1310nm optical signals, it overcomes the severe distance limits and ground loop/EMI vulnerability of copper connections—delivering reliable point-to-point communication up to 40 km (25 miles).

Built for harsh outdoor, industrial, or broadcast facility environments, the 2406DT13-F2 features a rustless ABS housing and operates across extreme temperatures (-40°C to 85°C). It auto-senses incoming data rates between 300 and 115,200 bps for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 networks. Internal 600W surge suppression and 15kV ESD protection safeguard sensitive edge electronics against power spikes and static discharges.
