Compact Coaxial Signal Distribution and Failover

The Evertz 3405 Coaxial SFP Series brings broadcast-grade reclocking, signal distribution, and automatic redundancy switching into ultra-compact Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) modules. Designed to handle high-rate digital video and compressed transport streams (3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and DVB-ASI), these SFPs eliminate the need for bulky standalone distribution hardware by embedding signal processing directly into hot-swappable module bays.

Advanced Distribution and Auto-Changeover Capabilities

The series offers specialized processing modules tailored for live production and transmission redundancy:

3405DA5-HDBNC (Distribution Amplifier): Takes a coaxial input, automatically equalizes and reclocks the signal, and routes it to multiple outputs—providing up to two BNC outputs in BNC frames or four DIN 1.0/2.3 outputs in high-density DIN frames.
3405R2x1-DA4R-HDBNC (2x1 Auto-Changeover Switch): Monitors both primary and backup input lines simultaneously. It automatically routes the backup feed to the outputs if the primary signal drops or loses carrier validity, ensuring uninterrupted broadcast uptime.

Modular Flexibility and Density

Operating across Evertz 3405FR and 3505FR frames (capable of holding between 2 to 64 SFP modules in standalone or rackmount configurations) as well as 7708SFP series terminal equipment cards, the 3405 series offers exceptional density. Featuring high-grade 75Ω DIN 1.0/2.3 connectors and adaptive input equalization, these coaxial SFPs are essential components for broadcast control rooms, mobile production units, and automated master control failover systems.
