High-Density Modular Optical Transport

The Evertz 3405FR-DIN series delivers high-capacity, space-saving optical-to-electrical and electrical-to-optical conversion for broadcast, telecom, and inter-facility environments. By packing up to 16 hot-swappable Evertz 3405-series SFP modules into a 1RU enclosure, the platform enables up to 32 discrete conversions while utilizing high-density Mini DIN 1.0/2.3 coaxial connectors to conserve space in tight rack layouts.

Built for Zero-Downtime Reliability

Designed to eliminate single points of failure, the 3405FR-DIN features a patent-pending frame design with zero active internal components, ensuring that the chassis and connected coaxial wiring remain permanently racked during servicing. All active elements—including fans, power supplies, frame controllers, and SFP optics—are hot-swappable from the front or rear.

Powering Options

3405FR-DIN (12V DC Model): Operates on dual 12V DC power inputs via 4-pin XLR connectors, powered by external 3405PSX AC power bricks or the 1RU 3405PS-6 multi-frame power supply tray (40W max consumption).
3405FR-DIN-48V (48V DC Model): Tailored for central office and telecom power setups with dual auto-ranging 36–72V DC inputs on 3-pin screw terminal blocks (50W typical consumption).
