The Evertz 3405FRS-BNC is a high-density, flange-mounted standalone optical conversion platform designed for low-channel-count broadcast setups. Capable of housing up to 4 Evertz 3405-series SFP modules, the 3405FRS-BNC delivers up to 8 discrete optical-to-electrical or electrical-to-optical signal conversions from an ultra-compact footprint measuring just over 7 inches wide.

Enterprise Features in a Portable Enclosure

Unlike standard throwdown converters, the 3405FRS-BNC delivers enterprise and broadcast-grade management features. An integrated frame controller provides real-time signal presence, data rate monitoring, and parameter status via SNMP over a dedicated RJ-45 Ethernet port. For mission-critical reliability, the unit supports redundant 12V DC power inputs fed by auto-ranging 100–240V AC external power adapters, ensuring continuous video transport across long-distance fiber trunks.
