Next-Generation 12G-SDI Bulk Optical Transport
The Evertz 3406FR-HDBNC is an ultra-high-density 1RU optical conversion platform designed for 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and UHD broadcast and telecommunications infrastructure. Holding up to 16 Evertz 3406/3405-series SFP transceivers, the 3406FR-HDBNC delivers up to 32 discrete optical-to-electrical or electrical-to-optical conversions. In addition, the frame incorporates 4 auxiliary MSA-compliant SFP slots, enabling versatile auxiliary signal extension like Gigabit Ethernet or additional video paths without requiring dedicated rack units.
Carrier-Grade Reliability & Maintenance
Engineered for zero-downtime environments, the 3406FR-HDBNC features Evertz's patented chassis architecture with no active components in the frame itself. Rear HD-BNC cabling remains permanently installed during service, as all active modules—including dual auto-ranging AC power supplies, fan modules, optics, and single or dual redundant frame controllers—are completely hot-swappable. Integrated web browser management and SNMP protocol support ensure comprehensive real-time monitoring of signal presence, data rates, and optical launch power.
