Product Overview +
Ultra-High-Density 2RU Bulk Optical Conversion
The Evertz 3505FR-32-BNC4 sets the industry benchmark for high-capacity bulk optical signal conversion, packing up to 32 hot-swappable Evertz 3405-series SFP modules into a compact 2RU chassis. Capable of handling up to 64 discrete optical-to-electrical or electrical-to-optical conversions, this platform is specifically designed for space-constrained broadcast apparatus rooms, mobile production units, and venue distribution hubs.
Integrated Quad BNC Signal Distribution
Each of the 32 SFP slots on the 3505FR-32-BNC4 features quad 75Ω BNC coaxial connectors (IEC 61169-8 Annex A). This quad-connector layout allows dual-channel SFPs to provide built-in electrical distribution and auxiliary signal outputs directly from the frame without needing external DA modules or patch panels.
Zero-Downtime Carrier-Grade Architecture
Built for continuous 24/7 broadcast operations, the frame employs a patent-pending architecture with no active electronics embedded in the chassis itself. Active elements—such as SFP transceivers, dual redundant auto-ranging AC power supplies, variable-speed fan assemblies, and single or dual frame controllers—are completely hot-swappable from the front or rear.
