High-Density Balanced Audio Frame Architecture

The Evertz 400FR is a 3RU multi-slot frame enclosure engineered for high-density audio distribution, routing, and signal processing in professional broadcast facilities, recording studios, and live production racks. Supporting up to 16 single-slot 400-series audio cards, it provides a unified housing for analog audio (400ADA-AUD) and balanced AES/EBU digital audio distribution modules (400DA-AESB, 400DA2Q-AESB).

Mission-Critical Redundancy & Hot-Swappable Operation

Redundant Power Supplies: Equipped with dual hot-swappable power supply units running on separate AC mains inputs (100–240V AC auto-ranging). The chassis supports up to 160 Watts total module load (10 Watts per slot).
Passive Backplane & Zero-Downtime Maintenance: Field wiring connects directly to the passive rear panel. Processing modules can be hot-swapped from the front without de-cabling or disrupting neighboring signals.
Integrated System Health Monitoring: A front-panel window and diagnostic LEDs provide status reporting for power supplies and card health, supplemented by a 4-pin relay tally output for remote alarm indication.
