Compact High-Density 3G/HD/SD Signal Distribution

The Evertz 500DA-3G is a cost-effective, high-density 1x8 reclocking distribution amplifier engineered for broadcast production facilities, master control rooms, and mobile units. Designed to handle multi-rate serial digital video signals, the card automatically detects, equalizes, and reclocks standard-definition (270 Mbps), high-definition (1.5 Gbps), and 3G (3 Gbps) SDI video signals.

Flexible Non-Reclocked Mode & Signal Integrity

For multi-format distribution, the 500DA-3G features a jumper-selectable non-reclocked bypass mode. This mode allows the module to pass specialized data rates including DVB-ASI, ATSC SMPTE ST 310-1 (19.4 Mbps), and secondary SD rates (143/360/540 Mbps). Signal polarity is preserved from input to output, ensuring reliable transport stream integrity for DVB-ASI streams. Eight fully isolated output drivers eliminate cross-channel loading, removing the need to terminate unused rear BNC ports while maintaining low wideband jitter (<0.2 UI HD, <0.3 UI 3G).

Frame Integration, Diagnostics, and Control

Occupying a single slot in the 3RU Evertz 500FR frame (supporting up to 16 modules per chassis), the 500DA-3G features front-panel hot-swappability without disconnecting rear BNC cables. Card-edge LED indicators provide real-time status for rate selection, reclocker lock, bypass activation, maximum equalization threshold, and card health. When operated in a 500FR frame equipped with a 500FC Frame Controller, the card integrates into Evertz VistaLINK® SNMP monitoring networks for centralized management and status tally reporting.
