Versatile HD/SD Distribution

The Evertz 500DA-HD and 500DA-HD-N are high-density 1x8 distribution amplifiers engineered for broadcast control rooms, signal ingest suites, and production facilities. Designed to process both high-definition and standard-definition serial digital signals, the cards automatically detect, equalize, and distribute HD-SDI (1.5 Gbps) and SD-SDI (143–540 Mbps) signals across eight isolated outputs.

Adaptive Operational Modes & Reclocking

To support diverse broadcast transport standards, the series provides jumper-selectable operating modes:

Reclocked Mode: Automatically locks to SMPTE ST 292-1 (1.5 Gbps) and SMPTE ST 259/344 (143 to 540 Mbps) video streams to eliminate timing jitter.
DVB-ASI Mode: Preserves signal alignment and polarity specifically for compressed MPEG transport streams.
Non-Reclocking Mode (500DA-HD-N): Bypasses the reclocking circuit to pass SMPTE ST 310 (19.4 Mbps) ATSC signals or any arbitrary data rate within the 143 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps range.

Frame Integration and Monitoring

Designed for the Evertz 500FR 3RU modular frame (holding up to 16 cards), the 500DA-HD allows complete hot-swapping from the front without disconnecting rear BNC cables. Independent output drivers remove the requirement to terminate unused rear connectors. When installed alongside a 500FC Frame Controller, engineering teams gain SNMP alarm reporting and remote status monitoring through Evertz VistaLINK®.
