The Evertz 500DA2Q-3G is a dual-channel 3G/HD/SD-SDI reclocking distribution amplifier engineered for space-critical broadcast applications, production trucks, and master control environments. By packing two independent 1x4 distribution amplifiers onto a single card, it enables high-density configurations of up to 32 individual 1x4 DAs within a single 3RU Evertz 500FR frame.

Flexible Dual-Channel Processing & Signal Integrity

Each input channel on the 500DA2Q-3G features independent auto-equalization and reclocking logic. The module automatically locks to 3Gbps (SMPTE ST 424), 1.5Gbps HD (SMPTE ST 292-1), and 270Mbps SD (SMPTE ST 259) signals. For non-standard video rates or compressed transport streams, each channel can be independently set via hardware jumpers to non-reclocking bypass mode—enabling clean transmission of DVB-ASI, SMPTE ST 310 (19.4 Mbps), and SMPTE ST 344 (540 Mbps) data without jitter degradation.

Diagnostic Monitoring and Frame Management

Designed for the Evertz 500FR 3RU modular frame, the 500DA2Q-3G supports full hot-swappability without disturbing rear cabling. Each output driver is isolated to prevent cross-channel loading, eliminating the need to terminate unused rear BNC connectors. Card-edge LEDs provide real-time diagnostic status for reclocker lock, selected rate, bypass activation, and module health. When integrated into a frame with a 500FC Frame Controller, status tally warnings and remote SNMP monitoring are available via Evertz VistaLINK®.
