The Evertz 500DA2Q-AESU is a compact, flexible distribution amplifier designed for unbalanced $75\ \Omega$ AES3 digital audio signals (SMPTE ST 276). Engineered for broadcast master control rooms, mobile production trucks, and recording studios, it gives engineers the choice to process two independent AES audio streams simultaneously or consolidate outputs for high-density single-stream distribution.

Advanced Cable Compensation & Clock Recovery

• Dual Operational Modes: Easily configured via jumpers to operate as a dual 1x4 DA (distributing 2 inputs to 4 outputs each) or a single 1x8 DA (distributing 1 input to 8 reclocked outputs).
• Extended Coaxial Reach: The automatic cable equalization engine recovers severely attenuated digital signals across long coaxial cable runs exceeding $1500\text{ m}$ of Belden 1694A.
• Clock Restructure & Multi-Rate Support: Active reclocking strips accumulated jitter to ensure stable sync across downstream audio consoles, routers, and embedding gear at sample rates up to $96\text{ kHz}$.

Modular High-Density Deployment

Occupying a single slot in the 3RU Evertz 500FR frame, up to 16 modules can be housed in a single chassis to deliver up to 32 independent 1x4 channels or 16 1x8 channels. SNMP integration is supported when paired with the 500FC Frame Controller module.
