High-Density Dual HD/SD Signal Distribution

The Evertz 500DA2Q-HD and 500DA2Q-HD-N are dual-channel HD/SD-SDI reclocking and non-reclocking distribution amplifiers designed for high-density broadcast environments, production trucks, and master control facilities. By packing two complete distribution amplifiers onto a single card, up to 32 individual 1x4 DAs can be housed within a single 3RU Evertz 500FR frame (up to 16 cards per chassis).

Flexible Configuration & Protocol Support

The module offers versatile operational modes:

2x4 Dual-Channel Mode: Functions as two distinct 1x4 distribution amplifiers with independent auto-equalization and selectable reclocking per channel.
1x8 Single-Channel Mode: Routes Input A across all 8 outputs for high-fanout signal distribution.
Reclocked & Bypass Modes: Reclocks 1.5 Gbps HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and 540 Mbps SMPTE ST 344 video streams. Individual jumpers enable non-reclocked bypass for ATSC SMPTE ST 310 (19.4 Mbps), DVB-ASI transport streams, or non-standard rates between 143 Mbps and 1.5 Gbps.

Diagnostics and Centralized Control

All output drivers are isolated to maintain signal integrity without requiring termination on unused BNC ports. On-board card-edge diagnostic LEDs indicate module health, 2x4 mode operation, rate detection, carrier presence, and reclocker lock for each channel. When integrated into a 500FR frame equipped with a 500FC Frame Controller, input loss triggers a frame status bus tally, enabling remote SNMP monitoring through Evertz VistaLINK®.
