High-Density HD/SD Signal Distribution

The Evertz 500DA2Q-HD is a dual-channel HD/SD-SDI reclocking distribution amplifier designed for broadcast facilities, production trucks, and master control environments requiring maximum signal density. By packing two complete distribution amplifiers into a single card slot, it allows up to 32 separate 1x4 DAs to be housed within a 3RU Evertz 500FR frame (holding up to 16 modules).

Versatile Processing & Dynamic Routing

The module features configurable operational modes, allowing it to function as two separate 1x4 distribution amplifiers or as a single 1x8 distribution amplifier driven from Input A. In dual mode, each channel operates independently with dedicated auto-equalization and reclocking circuitry. The unit automatically locks onto 1.5 Gbps HD (SMPTE ST 292-1), SD (SMPTE ST 259), and 540 Mbps (SMPTE ST 344) signals. For non-standard or compressed formats like DVB-ASI or SMPTE ST 310 (19.4 Mbps), individual jumpers enable non-reclocking bypass mode across the entire 143 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps range.

Isolated Outputs, Diagnostics, and Control

All output drivers are fully isolated to prevent cross-channel loading, eliminating the need to terminate unused BNC connectors. The card includes comprehensive card-edge status LEDs displaying module health, 2x4/1x8 mode status, rate detection, carrier presence, and reclocker lock. When deployed in a 500FR frame equipped with a 500FC Frame Controller, signal loss tally alarms and remote SNMP monitoring are available via Evertz VistaLINK®.
