Product Overview +
Dedicated Network Gateway for 500-Series Frames
The Evertz 500FC VistaLINK Frame Controller Card acts as the central communication gateway for Evertz 500-series modular frames. Occupying slot 1 of a 500FR chassis, the 500FC establishes a single point of network access to monitor and manage all installed modular processing cards.
True Native SNMP Management
Unlike systems that rely on external translator software or dedicated PC hardware, the 500FC functions as a true, standalone SNMP agent. It interfaces directly with standard network management software and Evertz VistaLINK PRO, allowing broadcast engineers to poll parameters, set configurations, and receive real-time SNMP traps directly across local Ethernet networks.
Hardware Health & Diagnostic Tracking
Beyond card-level management, the 500FC reports critical frame-level telemetry to maintain uptime in live production environments:
- Chassis Monitoring: Continuously tracks main/redundant power supply status, chassis temperature, and frame health.
- Maintenance Logs: Reports card insertion and removal counters alongside controller software versioning.
- At-a-Glance Status: Front-panel LEDs provide local status notifications, while rear-panel RJ-45 LEDs display Ethernet link and speed parameters.
