Integrated Centralized Management & Distribution

The Evertz 500FC-DA-HD is a dual-purpose frame controller and high-performance distribution amplifier engineered specifically for the Evertz 500FR 3RU frame architecture. By integrating network control and 1x8 signal distribution onto a single slot-1 card, it saves valuable chassis space while providing centralized remote monitoring and video signal distribution for broadcast control rooms and mobile production trucks.

VistaLINK® Network Controller & SNMP Gateway

Serving as the master communications hub for the 500FR chassis, the 500FC-DA-HD bridges all installed VistaLINK®-enabled cards to your Network Management System (NMS). Utilizing an auto-negotiating 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet port, it communicates via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to deliver real-time frame health, card insertion/removal logging, software firmware status, and signal loss alarms. Initial network parameters are easily set via an RS-232 serial setup port located directly at the card edge.

On-Board HD/SD-SDI Reclocking DA

In addition to frame management, the module functions as a 1x8 auto-equalized, reclocking distribution amplifier. It supports SMPTE ST 292-1 (1.5 Gbps HD-SDI), SMPTE ST 259 (143 to 540 Mbps SD-SDI), and DVB-ASI transport streams. Through VistaLINK® control, the reclockers can be configured for bypass mode to accommodate non-standard bit rates. All eight outputs feature independent isolated drivers to prevent cross-channel loading, eliminating the need to terminate unused rear BNC connectors.
