Acting as a true native SNMP agent, the 500FC connects directly to standard local area networks without relying on intermediate translation servers or software gateways. By installing the 500FC into slot 1 of a 500FR frame, engineering teams gain single-point access to remotely manage, configure, and monitor every VistaLINK-enabled processing card within the chassis.

Real-Time Monitoring and Diagnostic Control

Equipped with an auto-negotiating 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 Ethernet port, the 500FC delivers fast, reliable data transfers to network management systems (NMS). Through VistaLINK software, the controller aggregates vital telemetry across the entire frame—including primary and backup power supply health, card insertion/removal logs, and firmware build data. Front-panel and rear-panel LED arrays supply immediate local status verification for frame health, Ethernet link speed, and network traffic.
