High-Performance Signal Distribution with Built-In Audio Processing

The Evertz 500IDA9-IG and 500IDA9-HD-IG are intelligent 1x9 reclocking distribution amplifiers designed for demanding broadcast facilities, master control rooms, and mobile production units. By combining long-reach signal equalization and high-density distribution with advanced audio manipulation and loudness control, these modules eliminate the need for dedicated downstream audio processors.

Advanced Audio Conditioning & Compliance

Unlike standard distribution amplifiers, the 500IDA9-IG series integrates onboard DSP capabilities to streamline digital audio workflows:

ITU-R BS.1770 Loudness Control: Automatically manages embedded audio levels to maintain compliance with international broadcast loudness mandates (CALM Act / EBU R128).
Embedded Audio Shuffling: Enables flexible remapping and shuffling of mono embedded audio channels directly on the card before signal fan-out.
5.1 to Stereo Downmix (+DMX): Integrates 5.1 surround sound downmixing to generate 2-channel stereo tracks for legacy monitoring or secondary feed transmission.

Signal Integrity & Network Supervision

Featuring multi-stage reclocking and automatic input equalization, the module recovers high-frequency cable attenuation across runs up to 140 meters at HD-SDI bitrates and 350 meters at SD-SDI bitrates. Full SNMP compatibility enables comprehensive remote control, status telemetry, and real-time trend logging when paired with an Evertz frame controller and VistaLINK® NMS.
