The Evertz 520DARS-W is a specialized reference extraction and distribution amplifier designed for master control rooms, broadcast synchronization suites, and post-production studios. It extracts a clean, stable AES11 Word Clock reference from an incoming unbalanced $75\ \Omega$ AES3 (SMPTE ST 276) digital audio stream while simultaneously buffering and reclocking the audio signal for downstream distribution.

• Master Synchronization Integration: Optimized for seamless operation alongside master clock generators and sync reference systems, such as the Evertz 5700MSC-IP Master Clock/SPG platform.
• Jitter-Free Reclocked Output: Re-clocks and shapes incoming AES audio signals across 5 coaxial BNC outputs, stripping timing jitter to ensure signal integrity across complex distribution networks.
• Robust Word Clock Drive: Generates 4 independent $5\text{ V p-p}$ square wave Word Clock outputs capable of driving studio peripherals, digital mixing consoles, and audio interfaces.

Modular Chassis Architecture

Occupying a single slot in the 3RU Evertz 500FR frame, up to 16 520DARS-W modules can be installed per chassis to supply up to 64 Word Clock outputs and 80 reclocked AES audio lines. Onboard card-edge diagnostics allow rapid visual identification of signal lock, sampling frequency, and biphase errors.
