Product Overview +
Maximum Reliability for Mission-Critical Broadcast Synchronization
The Evertz 5700ACO Automatic Changeover System provides an essential fail-safe layer for broadcast television, live production environments, and master control facilities. Designed to operate seamlessly alongside two Evertz 5700MSC Master Clock/Sync Generators, this 2RU system continuously monitors the integrity of primary and secondary reference sources. By employing high-reliability mechanically latching relays, the 5700ACO guarantees that reference signals, timecodes, and digital audio paths remain strictly intact, even during complete mains power loss.
Intelligent Signal Monitoring and Automated Failover
At the core of the 5700ACO is a dynamic voting matrix that monitors incoming signal quality from both master generators. The system automatically evaluates video sync levels, H-timing, 10MHz amplitude, DARS errors, and LTC frame structures. If an error or level drop is detected on the primary master, the 5700ACO instantly shifts the entire bank of reference signals to the hot backup. Operators retain granular control over the logic, using web-based software to selectively include or exclude individual input channels from the voting criteria.
Enterprise-Grade Hardware Redundancy and Maintenance
Engineered for non-stop environments, the chassis features dual auto-ranging AC power supplies, redundant cooling fans, and a hot-swappable main circuit board to eliminate single points of failure. The front panel incorporates intuitive LED status indicators for input health and operating modes, alongside a diagnostic push button that identifies the precise cause of the last switchover event. For added operational security, manual control toggles for AUTO/MANUAL and Master A/B selection are safely recessed behind the front panel to prevent accidental switching.
Consolidated Cabling and Remote Management
The 5700ACO simplifies infrastructure wiring by routing 12 coaxial signal groups, 10MHz frequency references, Word Clock, DARS, and 3 AES paths alongside 2-channel LTC timecode outputs through a single frame. An integrated 12-pin removable terminal block brings through GPI and GPO connections from both master generators, splitting control signals internally to ensure uniform commands reach both units simultaneously. Remote configuration, status monitoring, and system diagnostics are readily accessible over a standard Gigabit Ethernet connection.
