Bulk Signal Encapsulation and De-encapsulation

The Evertz 570ASI-X19 is a high-density media processing blade designed to bridge traditional baseband SDI and ASI transport infrastructure with modern broadcast IP networks. Serving as a multi-functional gateway, the module performs simultaneous encapsulation and de-encapsulation of uncompressed SDI video streams into SMPTE ST 2110 / ST 2022-6 format, as well as bi-directional transport of ASI streams over IP networks.

Flexible Software Application Modes

The platform utilizes application-specific software builds (APPs) to adapt to distinct operational requirements:

• 570ASI-APP-ASI (Bulk ASI Gateway): Enables 10 concurrent ASI-to-IP and 10 IP-to-ASI conversions utilizing up to 2x 10GbE SFP/SFP+ optical data ports.
• 570ASI-APP-IPG (Hybrid IP/SDI/ASI Gateway): Provides 6x6 bi-directional conversions across SDI, SMPTE ST 2022-6, SMPTE ST 2110, ASI-to-IP, and IP-to-ASI using up to 6x 10GbE SFP/SFP+ interfaces. (Note: Frame Sync / SDI output processing requires the optional 570ASI-FK-FSE feature key).

Hitless Merge and Network Redundancy

Engineered for mission-critical broadcast backhaul and core routing environments, the 570ASI-X19 supports hitless packet merge capabilities across both compressed MPEG-2 TS and uncompressed IP streams. Combined with main and backup streaming outputs, the card provides seamless network redundancy to prevent signal loss during primary link disruptions.

Modular Frame Integration & Control

Occupying a single slot in the Evertz 570FR 3RU frame or S570FR 1RU enclosure, the module simplifies signal management via per-port configuration. Network engineers can manage, monitor, and configure streams through an integrated HTTP web interface or centralized SNMP monitoring via Evertz VistaLINK and Unified Control systems.
