High-Density JPEG 2000 IP De-Encapsulation

The Evertz 570REM-RX8-10GE is a modular IP receiver and JPEG 2000 decoder card designed for high-bitrate live contribution networks and inter-facility media links. By delivering up to 8 channels of 3G/HD/SD-SDI decoding or 2 channels of 4K/UHD decoding in a dual-slot footprint, the card optimizes chassis density for broadcast centers, mobile production trucks, and network edge gateways.

Broadcast Video Quality & Network Resilience

Engineered for uncompromised live video transport, the 570REM-RX8-10GE adheres strictly to the VSF TR-01 v2 specification. To mitigate packet loss over IP networks, the module incorporates Evertz' patent-pending multi-path, multi-flow packet merge algorithm. This base-network error resilience technique merges redundant stream paths in real time to provide 100% Quality of Service (QoS) hitless redundancy.

Physical SDI Distribution and Frame Sync

Every JPEG 2000 decode channel features mirrored dual SDI outputs (16x DIN connectors total), eliminating the need for external distribution amplifiers downstream. Built-in frame synchronizers lock each decoded video stream to the local reference signal, ensuring seamless timing alignment across 3840x2160p (Quad Division / 2sI), 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and SD standards. The card preserves all embedded audio (4 groups) and ancillary VANC metadata.

System Integration and Network Control

Occupying two slots in Evertz 570FR series 1RU and 3RU chassis enclosures, the 570REM-RX8-10GE features four 10GbE SFP+ cages for high-bandwidth streaming. Operators can easily monitor, configure, and automate decoding workflows using the onboard web GUI, central frame controller, Evertz VistaLINK PRO, or MAGNUM Unified Control over SNMP.
