Universal Dual-Stage H.264 Video Compression

The Evertz 570UEP-P60-IPASI is a versatile, high-performance encoding blade engineered for primary/secondary broadcast contribution, newsgathering, and live sports production. By utilizing advanced H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) compression algorithms, the 570UEP platform captures true 1080p/60Hz "Master Format" video and encodes pristine mezzanine-grade video for distribution across satellite, terrestrial, and IP backbones.

Concurrent Mezzanine & IPTV Multi-Format Delivery

The unit's unique dual-staged compression engine allows broadcast operators to generate two distinct transport stream workflows simultaneously from a single video source:

Mezzanine Contribution Feed: High-bitrate H.264 (up to 80 Mbps) in 4:2:0 or optional 10-bit 4:2:2 (HI422P@4.1) for high-fidelity inter-facility distribution.
IPTV / OTT Secondary Feed: Lower-bitrate H.264 (up to 15 Mbps) in 4:2:0 for direct content ingestion into IPTV headends, in-house cable networks, or adaptive bit rate (ABR) transcoding workflows.

Comprehensive Audio, Metadata & SCTE 35 Control

Equipped to handle complex ancillary data requirements, the 570UEP supports 8 PIDs of audio processing across 16 embedded SDI channels. The card features extensive audio codec pass-through and optional encoding options for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby-E, and AAC. Advanced metadata features include SMPTE 2038 pass-through, Closed Captions/Teletext, AFD/WSS, and SCTE 104 to SCTE 35 conversion with dedicated JSON metadata insertion for downstream ad-insertion workflows.

Modular 570FR Chassis Integration & Management

Occupying three slots in the Evertz 570FR 3RU chassis, the 570UEP-P60-IPASI includes dedicated primary and backup ASI, SDI, and Gigabit Ethernet ports for uninterrupted signal paths. Broadcast engineers can remotely configure, monitor, and update the encoder using the onboard HTTP web UI or centrally orchestrate full compression headends via Evertz VistaLINK PRO, IRM, Mediator, and SNMP.
