The Evertz 7700DA-DS3 is a high-performance distribution amplifier engineered for telecoms, broadcast backhaul, and facility infrastructure carrying DS3 (44.736 Mb/s) serial data signals. By accepting a B3ZS-encoded AMI input and generating four reclocked, wave-shaped outputs, it extends signal reach and ensures reliable transmission across central offices and broadcast facilities.

Comprehensive Signal Integrity & Fault Management

Extended Equalization & Reclocking: Reconstructs degraded incoming signals across up to 300 meters (1,000 feet) of 75Ω coaxial cable. Onboard reclocking and jitter attenuation remove phase noise to maintain downstream timing lock.
Compliant Waveform Shaping: Enforces strict G.703 output pulse templates. Switchable high/low drive levels allow operators to optimize signal power depending on cable distance to the next receiving node.
Automatic AIS Alarm Generation: Integrated Loss of Signal (LOS) detection triggers an operational status alert and generates an all-ones (1s) pattern to keep downstream network monitoring equipment stable during upstream signal interruptions.

Flexible Modular Architecture

Occupying a single slot in standard Evertz enclosures, the 7700DA-DS3 installs cleanly into 3RU 7800FR chassis (up to 15 modules), 1RU 7801FR chassis (up to 4 modules), 3RU 350FR portable chassis (7 modules), or standalone desktop enclosures. Card-edge diagnostics and transformer-isolated I/O deliver long-term protection against ground potential differences and transient surges.
