Product Overview +
Uninterrupted Back-Up Power for Critical Frame Operations
The Evertz 7700PCO Power Changeover Unit is a dedicated 1RU emergency power switching device engineered for mission-critical video infrastructure. Designed to pair seamlessly with Evertz 7700 series multiframes, the unit ensures uninterrupted program feeds in environments where primary AC line power is unstable or susceptible to unexpected drops. By delivering seamless, zero-downtime failover to external battery sources, the 7700PCO protects live broadcast chains and transmission networks from unexpected power loss.
Advanced AC/DC Auto-Switching Capabilities
Operating as an intelligent power management gateway, the 7700PCO accepts an auto-ranging AC input (95–264V AC) alongside a 10–18V DC terminal block input. In the event of an AC supply interruption, the unit automatically transfers power handling to the connected DC battery bank without interrupting installed frame processing cards. Its output stage delivers up to 300W of power, allowing it to easily drive heavily loaded 7700 frames in demanding broadcast control environments.
Field-Ready Design for Mobile and Remote Production
Built for deployable applications, mobile OB units, and remote transmission sites, the 7700PCO offers scalable battery operation times depending on equipment load. For example, a fully loaded 200-watt 7700 frame can operate for approximately 30 minutes when paired with dual Anton Bauer Hytron 100 batteries (or up to 60 minutes on a 100-watt load). Clear front-panel status LEDs provide immediate local feedback on AC mains availability, DC power input status, and switching health.
