The Evertz 7706CWDM Series Compact Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing Modules deliver high-density passive optical transport engineered for space-constrained broadcast environments. By transitioning to high-density LC connectors, the 7706CWDM packs a full 8-channel mux or demux into a single card slot—cutting frame slot usage in half compared to legacy 2-slot designs. Operating across the 1270nm to 1610nm ITU spectrum, these modules allow engineers to combine up to 16 independent optical signals onto a single single-mode fiber pair.

Fully Passive, Protocol-Agnostic Infrastructure

Built as a purely passive optical system, the 7706CWDM series requires no electrical power, providing maximum operational stability for mission-critical signal paths. Its protocol- and bit-rate-agnostic design handles uncompressed 3G/HD/SD-SDI video, MADI audio, Ethernet, and control streams simultaneously without signal degradation. The series easily expands from an initial 8-channel system to a complete 16-channel multiplexed network by pairing the base module with the 7706CWDM-8LB extension module.

Operational Uptime and Frame Integration

Engineered to maintain uninterrupted facility operations, the 7706CWDM series features a front-of-frame hot-swappable architecture. Maintenance teams can access and service cards from the front of the frame without unplugging or disturbing rear optical cabling. Fully compatible with Evertz 7801FR (1RU), 7800FR (3RU), and portable 350FR frame enclosures, the 7706CWDM is the ideal high-density solution for Studio-to-Transmitter Links (STL), mobile OB trucks, and campus signal aggregation.
