The Evertz 7708OO-2-10G is a dual-channel optical-to-optical transponder, regenerator, and wavelength shifter engineered for 10 Gigabit Ethernet telecom and datacom networks. Occupying a single slot in Evertz 7700, 7800, or 570 series chassis, the card provides two independent 10G optical processing paths, making it an ideal demarcation and signal-monitoring point between internal facility infrastructures and external dark fiber links.

SFP+ Flexibility for Long-Haul, CWDM, & DWDM Links

By leveraging hot-swappable SFP+ optical modules, the 7708OO-2-10G adapts to diverse fiber environments:

Wavelength Conversion: Shifts short-haul or standard 850nm / 1310nm optical signals to CWDM or DWDM C-Band wavelengths for high-density optical multiplexing.
Signal Distance Extension: Regenerates degraded optical signals, re-clocking data and boosting laser output power to extend 10G Ethernet signals over single-mode fiber links up to 80km or more.
Network Demarcation: Serves as a monitored handoff point with comprehensive signal health metrics exposed via card-edge diagnostics or remote SNMP management.
