The Evertz 7708VB-4-HSE FacilityLINK Transceiver provides broadcast facilities with an all-in-one solution for high-capacity video transport and IP network extension. By increasing total bandwidth to a 2.97 Gbps link rate, this 2-slot module expands upon standard transceivers by supporting two HD-SDI channels, up to four SD-SDI/DVB-ASI streams, or flexible hybrid configurations. It enables control rooms, remote trucks, and broadcast centers to consolidate video signals, file transfers, local network traffic, and machine control data onto a single transmission path.

Adaptive Bandwidth Control and Long-Distance Reach

Equipped with Evertz Flexible Bandwidth Management (FBM), the card dynamically recalculates Ethernet throughput relative to video channel utilization without dropping packet connections. Signal integrity on coaxial runs is maintained by built-in equalization that restores HD-SDI up to 100 meters and SD-SDI up to 250 meters over Belden 1694 cable. For inter-facility links spanning kilometers, optional LC/UPC SFP optical modules allow seamless integration into standard 1310nm or 16-channel CWDM fiber optics networks.

Modular Frame Integration and Operational Uptime

Designed for mission-critical media networks, the 7708VB-4-HSE is fully hot-swappable from the front panel to allow swift installation or servicing without disrupting adjacent operations. It integrates smoothly into Evertz frame ecosystems, including the 1RU 7801FR, 3RU 7800FR, and portable 350FR chassis. Integrating the module with a 7700FC frame controller grants engineering teams full remote management capabilities over VistaLINK and SNMP protocols to continuously track system performance.
