With full backward compatibility for Evertz 7800 and 7700 series processing modules and companion rear plates, the chassis array provides maximum flexibility for studio control rooms, mobile OB units, and transmission hubs.

Scalable Chassis Configurations and Quiet Operation Options

To fit diverse rack requirements, the series offers multiple form-factor variants:

7800FR & 7800FR-48VDC (3RU): Standard 15-slot high-density frames delivering up to 360W of total module power (24W per slot).
7800FR-QT (3RU Quiet Frame): Engineered with front and rear low-noise fans (-60dBA), making it ideal for noise-sensitive control rooms and audio suites.
7801FR (1RU): Compact 4-slot frame designed for flight kits, remote utility spaces, or small signal distribution points.

Advanced Thermal Protection and Centralized Telemetry

Built for continuous 24/7 service, all 7800 series frames support hot-swappable dual redundant power supplies, allowing power units and cooling fans to be serviced without interrupting active processing paths. The dual internal frame genlock bus distributes a synchronized reference signal directly across all installed modules, eliminating external BNC loop-throughs. When paired with an Evertz frame controller (7800FC or 7801FC), engineers gain complete VistaLINK SNMP remote supervision, real-time status alarms, and hardware telemetry across local and wide area networks.
